A reminder there is a model show at Milton Keynes, UK  in this Sunday Feb 1.  I forgot to add this to the ARC homepage "coming Shows" section so I want to give this show special notice for this reason. 
Carl “Fuzzy” Fischer gets things started with his first model on ARC and his first model since re-entering the hobby.  This is Carl's 1/72 Revell (Hasegawa) P3-C Orion that he built to a very high standard for a former former Flight Engineer that flew this particular aircraft.  Carl's article was an enjoyable read.  Welcome to ARC Carl!!!
Busolini Massimo has done an exceptional job on his Jolly Rogers 1/48 Hasegawa F-14B Tomcat.  Busolini captured the weathered look of the F-14 paint job perfectly.  Read his article to learn his techniques.  
Brian Waldorf is here with what has to be one of the coolest looking paint jobs ever worn by a P-47.  This is his 1/32 Hasegawa P-47 and the D-Day stripes just put this one over the top for me.  Brian weathered his P-47 and finished it in the markings of Col. Francis Gabreski  
Phillip Rajoo has been busy getting the perfect look on his 1/100 Doyusha B707.  Phillip finished his airliner in the colours of  Singapore Airlines.  It's always a treat to see airliner models on the ARC homepage.

I have a review of the new 1/48 QF-16 Victim Viper decal sheet from Twobobs Aviation Graphics.  This sheet includes two complete fictitious jets of the follow on full-scale target drone aircraft for the USAF.

Here's the latest Hot Babe of the Week! photos from Twobobs.  These  photos were taken by the world famous Jose "Fuji" Ramos. 
Alvaro Troncoso Gil (Brujo) has been very busy skillfully modifying his 1/48 Hasegawa F-4 E AUP.   Alvaro did quite a bit of work to his Greek phantom to modify it to the (Advanced Upgrade Program) Phantom.  I really like the way this phantom turned out and the blue paint scheme is one of the most attractive camo schemes worn by the Phantom.
Rafi Ben-Shahar is here with his 1/48 Accurate Miniatures B-25G Mitchell complete with a Shark Mouth.  Rafi was busy adding weathering and exhaust stains to his Mitchell bomber.  Looking good Rafi. 
Gökhan Eren has been busy getting the weathering looking right on his 1/72 Hasegawa TF-104G.  Gökhan finished his Starfighter in the fine looking markings for the Turkish Air Force.

Warren Inman joins us from sunny Australia with his 1/32 Dragon P-51D Mustang.  Warren had a good opinion of this kit and chose to finish his Mustang in the colour and markings for RAAF 3SQN colours, using the firewall scheme used in the Italian theatre near to the end of the war.  A great looking Mustang Warren.

I have a review of the new 1/48 EF-2000 Tifoni Italiani decal sheet from Twobobs Aviation Graphics.  This sheet features a complete set of stencil data for two complete jets with enough individual options for six.  There are two, dual seat aircraft represented on this sheet as well.  One of the aircraft is the AWTI Italian test aircraft.

I have a review of the new 1/48 BAe Hawk Corrected Intakes resin set from Two Mikes Resin Accessories.  Today is Mike's birthday and I'd like to mark his birthday with the first review of his new resin products on ARC.

Raymond Tsang is here today with his first article on ARC.  This is  Raymond's very detailed 1/35 Trumpeter Mil Mi-171.  Raymond did quite a bit of scratchbuilding on this chopper and her built it in memory of ‘Great Sichuan Earthquake’.  Welcome to ARC Raymond.
Serge Dompierre has done a marvelous job detailing and finishing his 1/48 Hobbycraft CT-114 Tutor.  Serge scratchbuilt the cockpit and finished the rest of his model OOB and finished it off with  decals from Belcher's Bits.
Dominique Dubusse is here with his first article on ARC today.  This is Dominique's 1/48 Tamiya Skyraider AD4 built OOB with some extra engine, cockpit, and landing gear detailing and then gave it full weathering and markings for the "Armée de l'Air".  Welcome to ARC Dominique!!!
Alvaro Troncoso Gil did an impressive job on his 1/48 Academy FR-71A Reco Hunter.  This Hunter was given a resin cockpit and finsihed off in Chilean Air Force (FACH) markings.. 

I have a review of the new  1/48 NF-16D VISTA 2008 decal sheet from Twobobs Aviation Graphics.  This sheet features both 2005 and 2008 markings are provided for the NF-16D Vista aircraft.  The aircraft represented here are the GE motor powered version of this Variable Stability Flight Test platform.

I have a review of the new  1/32 Israeli Air Force F-16C 'Barak' decal sheet from IsraDecal.  This new decal sheet  includes markings for 1/32 F-16C 'Barak' in paint schemes featuring 4 different Squadrons.  These decals are designed for the Tamiya and Academy kits.

This weeks Twobobs Newsletter is up.  Bob has kindly included some shots of the decal sheet for the upcoming 1/48 AH-64A/D Iron City Apaches decal sheet. 
Marcos Krisp de Lucena starts today with his 1/72 Junkers Ju-88 A-4.  Marcos chose to finish his Ju-88 in the Wellenmuster paint scheme which is something you need to have a close look at........it is quite the tricky scheme to get right but Marcos did an excellent job on it.
Patrick Vossenberg is here with a seldom seen Sabra.  This is his beautifully finished 1/72 Academy F-86F finished off in the Royal Saudi Arabian Airforce markings.  It is a treat to see your F-86 Patrick.
Burt Gustafson has been buy having a grand time building his 1/48 Tamiya P-51D with Staff Car.  Burt chose to display his 2 models in a  diorama that very much captures the feel of WW2.  The Mustang looks great vin the markings for "The Millie G" flown by Major Ed Giller.  Cool looking Staff Car model as well, I've never seen one of those before.
Shawn "Phantom" Weiler has been having a  busy time building his 1/48 Hasegawa F-4E - IDF.  Shawn dug with the markings from this 1970's Phantom from a old Superscale sheet. Nicely done Shawn!!!

I have a review of the new  1/48 F4B-4 Part One decal sheet from  Starfighter Decals.  This new decal sheet includes markings for 3 different 1/72 Boeing F4B-4 from 1933-37. 

I have a review of the new  1/48 P-51 Mustang Part 2 decal sheet from  Lifelike Decals.  This latest release features 4 different P-51's including noseart of some sort on all 4 of these aircraft. 

I have a review of the new  1/48 IDF F-16C/D 'Barak'  decal sheet from  IsraDecal.  This new decal sheet includes markings for 1/48 F-16C/D's in paint schemes featuring 5 different Squadrons.

Here's the latest Hot Babe of the Week! photos from Twobobs.  These RAF Hawk photos were taken by Paolog Magio. 
David Waples has done an exceptional job pulling topgether a variety of aftermarket parts and decals to create his 1/48 Monogram AT-6C Tuskegee Double Vee.  This is one of the last Tuskegee planes still being flown today.  This article is well worth checking out. 
Gökhan Eren joins us from Turkey with his 1/72 Revell F-4 E Phantom.  Gökhan added extra detail using scratchbuilt parts made from metal and plastic.  He then expertly weathered his F-4 and finished it in TUAF (Turkish) markings 
Niko Asposalo has done an impressive job building and finishing his 1/144 Eduard Ju-87 Stuka G-2.  This is a tiny kit but the detail looks excellent and Niko really did give it a look of realism I would only expect on a  larger kit. 
Bob Bartolacci  has done a marvelous job building his 1/72 AMT KC-135A.  Bob built his tanker out of the box and finished it off with the kit decals.  Nicely done Bob.

This weeks Twobobs Newsletter is up.  Bob has info on the new releases in the works and I was happy to see a KC-135 listed.  There's also a F-105, AH-64, Drakens, F/A-18C VFA-151 Patriot Vigilante, F-15A ASAT Eagles and  A-7D Molar Marauder Kora jet.
Phillip Rajoo is here with his first article on ARC.  This is his 144 B747-200 airliner in the markings for Singapore Airlines.  Welcome to ARC Phillip!!! 
John Smalbrugge joins us with his big 1/32 Revell AH-64 A/D.  This is an older kit but John enjoyed building it and tool full advantage of the rich cockpit detail this kit has.  John finished his Apache in Dutch markings.
Tom Berres has been busy creating his 1/72 Trumpeter Tu-16RR Badger-L.  Tom did quite a bit of work building this conversion including a scratchbuilt cockpit.  He then finished it off with a  beautifully shades bare metal paint job.  Tom explains all the work he did in his article.....this was quite the conversion.
Malcolm Reid has done an exceptionally nice job on his 1/32 Hasegawa Ki-84 Frank.  Malcolm added wiring tot he cockpit, engine and wheelbays along with other scratchbuilt detailing.  He then finished it off with a  flawlessly weathered paint job.....the weathering on the wings and the exhaust stains on the fuselage are well worth having a look at.

I have a review of the new 1/72 Israeli Air Force IAF F-16I 'Sufa'  decal sheet from IsraDecal.  This new decal sheet includes markings for all 4 squadrons and the latest tail-art. 

I have a review of the new 1/72 SBC-4 Helldivers 1939-41 decal sheet from  Starfighter Decals.  This new decal sheet includes markings for 3 different 1/72 SBC-4 Helldivers before the Pearl Harbor attack.  

I have a review of the new 1/72 P-47 Thunderbolts Pt 1 decal sheet from Barracudacals.  This decal sheet includes 3 8th air Force P-47s....all with noseart.

Lukasz Studniarz gets your update started today with his 1/48 Tamiya P-47 D15.  This is the  "Passionate Patsy" P-47 complete with sexy noseart and an absolutely stunning shaded paint job.    
John Smalbrugge is here with his big eye catching 1/32 Academy F-16.  This very special F-16 is a "Dutch Color Bird" from the 2005-2008 Show Circuit and it has the paint scheme that is sure to standout.
Gabriel Stern is here with a model that isn't scratchbuilt which is a bit of a surprise to me.  This is his 1/72 Modified Vacuformed Ae. M.B. 2 cropduster which is a Vac-formed kit that required his special skill to turn into this rare pre-second WW2 Argentinean in the aircraft. 

Alvaro Troncoso Gil (Brujo) has dropped by with his 1/48 ESCI F4 EJ-KAI Phantom II  that he converted from an F4-E.  Alvaro did much extra work on his Phantom and finished it off in the  ever attractive Japanese markings.  This one is a beauty.
I have a review of the new 1/72 P-47D Thunderbolt Part 4 decal sheet from Lifelike Decals.  This decal sheet features three different P-47D's. 

I have a review of the new 1/72 MC-130, MH-53, HH-60, OH-58 decal sheet from Wolfpak Decals.  This decal sheet features a MH-53M currently housed in the National Museum of the USAF that was involved in the mission to rescue American Prisoners of war from the Son Tay Prison near Hanoi, North Vietnam in 1970.

Brandon Dodge has taken extra steps to turn out an awesome 1/48 Tamiya F-16CG.  Brandon used a variety of aftermarket items to get the detail correct on his model and finished it off with aftermarket decals with outstanding results.  The painting and weathering has to be seen to be believed.. 
Mark L. Rossmann is here with his Iwo Jima VLR Mustangs Part 2 - 506th FG article.  Today you get to see 3 of the Mustangs that fought to bring peace to the Pacific. I really enjoyed seeing these history making aircraft. 
Serge Dompierre is here with another of his Canadians beauties.  This is his 1/48 Academy CT-133 Silver Star in a very well done bare metal finish complete with Canadian markings. 
Jonathan Strickland has built something very special with his Westland Whirlwind from the movie "A Hard Day's Night".  Jonathan has custom Beatles markings made up for his Whirlwind.

Allan Christopher Agati is here with Test Shots of the 1/32 Trumpeter F-14A Tomcat.  The photos were taken by Horatio Aycardo.  Well done guys!!

Justin K. Miner has done an outstanding job detailing and finishing his 1/48 Hasegawa RF-4C. Justin added resin seats, resin goodies in the cockpit and finished it off with 155th TRG Nebraska Air Guard aftermarket decals.
Mark Ryemill had a very trying time building his 1/48 Airfix Spitfire Vc.  Mark was going to build a Seafire, but the conversion went horribly wrong........he undid the disaster and pulled off an exceptionally well done Spitfire in RAAF markings.  Resin goodies came from Ultracast.  
Yoav Efrati is one of the premier modelers of Israeli aircraft and this is his article on Yom Kippur War veteran fighter planes.  I always get a kick out of seeing Yoav's IDF jets on ARC.  
Bob Bartolacci has been busy building his 1/48 Monogram P-61.  You're going to love the job Bob did on his P-61....complete with noseart.  Well done Bob.
Albert Moore is here with a review of the new 1/48 CH-46 Sea Knight ‘Battle Phrogs 100’ decal sheet from MAW Decals.  This set includes markings for 10 different helos, complete stencils and walkways, and a CD-ROM with application instructions (in PDF format), reference photos for the subjects covered, and a few videos.

Tom Berres starts your Wednesday update with his 1/72 Hasegawa F-4S Phantom II.  Tom added  Eduard Photo etch, Aires exhausts and Verlinden seats, but the real beauty of this Phantom is the shaded and weathered paint job in the markings for USN VF-103 Squadron.
Warren Osborne is here with a blast from the past.  This is his big 1/24 Airfix Spitfire Mk 1 finished off to an impressive level with scratchbuilding in the cockpit to do this scale up properly.  I must confess I have this kit in my stash and seeing how well Warren did on his makes me long to build mine.. 
Stefan Costel joins us from Romania with his beautiful looking 1/48 Academy F-117A.  Judging by the photo of the cockpit it looks like Stefan did quite a bit of work in there.  He has also included a photos of his display case. 
Phillip Steele has been busy building his 1/72 KP Aero A-100.  This was not the easiest kit but Phillip tackled like a pro and pulled off a very sharp looking model of this little known aircraft.

Yoav Efrati gets things started today with two of his 1/72 Revell F-16Cs.  Yoav  did his usual stunning job on his F-16's and finished them off in Israeli Air Force markings.  I always enjoy seeing Yoav's Israeli Air Force models.
JGV has done an outstanding job on his 1/72 Academy Hawker Hurricane MkII C.   JGV chose to finish his Hurricane in the markings for a Portuguese fighter is a very attractive choice of camo colours. 
Alvaro Troncoso Gil joins us from Chile with his 1/48 Hasegawa A-4 K (Kahu).  Alvaro converted his Skyhawk from a A4-E/F and finished it off in New Zealand Air Force markings with very good results.
Gökhan Eren is here with his beautifully done 1/72 Revell Sea King.  This Sea King is an RAF chopper finished in Search and Rescue markings with excellent results.

I've safely made it to Tahiti and am aboard my  Mon-Key Island Air Force float equiped ultra light for the final journey to Mon-Key Island.  With the use of 3 feet of rope I've managed to create  an auto pilot and with the help of Bamford's laptop and a satellite link I can do the update from 5000 feet.......odd.....the engine just cut out.....this don't look good......

Alvis 3.1 begins today with a unique airliner from Jackal Island.  This is his 1/144 DC-109G which is a combination of a Bf-109 and a DC-4 and used by LuftRitger.
Alvis 3.1 is here with a  little known Meteor Target towing aircraft.  This is his 1/48 Banner Tow with a VERY shot up banner behind it.  Odd looking banner.
Alvis 3.1 is here with a diorama of something we've all heard about.  this is his 1/18 JMNs*......which means "Joyless Modelling Nazis".  Look carefully.....one of the judges is holding a magnifying glass in one hand and a hammer in his other hand.....another judge is holding a FS Color Chip guide.

My stupid cousin Larry has set sail for Mon-Key island in my shopping cart.  Bamford's Visa card only had a $300 limit, so I will be flying by Federal Express to Tahiti in a crate before I fire up the Mon-Key Island Air Force ultra light for the final journey to Mon-Key Island.  Tonight there will be a big party at the ARC corporate offices to celebrate my departure to Mon-Key Island.

Alvis 3.1 starts today with his Tales from Area 51*: 1/72 Count Rivet article.  This isn't just a rivet....this is a top secret test aircraft......but read his article for the whole story. 
John "Pastafarian" Gaines is a Civil War  history expert and he's hare with One reason for Union victory.  It seems the Union Army had a special T-Rex cavalry units.  I'd like to thank John for this insightful article. 
Dave "The Rat" Bailey is here with what I believe is the largest jet power flying boat ever made.  This is his Hawker Siddeley Nodens which is able to refuel off RN ships.  No doubt about it...this is one cool looking flying boast. 
Alvis 3.1 has been building his 1/230 JKM Skipjackal SSN.  For those of you that don't recognize this sub........it was based at Jackal Island and Alvis 3.1 has the full history of this sub.
Alvis 3.1 has been having an amusing time building his What-if 1/48 Royal Navy Rafale FS. 1.  I do like the look of this one. 
Mark Mallinson put much effort into his 1/48 Dornier Do 735N-1A Heavy Nightfighter.  This is a Do 335 fitted with a jet engine under each wing, but there is more to this aircraft as you'll read in Mark's article.

I've used Bamford's Visa card to charter a plane to Tahiti......from there it will be a 19 hour journey by Ultra light to Mon-Key island.  I've been assured by Bamford that an ultra light can fly 19 hours on 4 gallons of gas.  Although I can't help but be puzzled why Bamford had a gleam in his eye when he told me the ultra light would easily fly across shark infested waters for 19 hours on 4 gallons of gas.  I plan to set up a Banana Brewery on Mon-Key island to corner the global banana brew market.  My stupid cousin Larry has a fear of flying......so he'll be paddling my shopping cart across the pacific with styrofoam pontoons......thats a long paddle.....good thing he packed that second sandwich.

Hal Elsberry has been very creative with his 1/32 21st Century Toys Macchi C.202.  This kit was heavily modified and display as a burning fighter with the pilot getting ready to jump to safety.  Very nicely done Hal.
Alvis 3.1 is here with a little know history lesson on the reverse engineered Russian B-29 jet engined bomber.  This is his 1/144 Tupolev TU-4T "Bolshoi" and in his article he tells the full Cold War story about this rare aircraft.. 
Susan Csaba joins us for the first time today with her award winning Fantasy figures Model.  Wow.......I really like how this one turned out Susan........you have much talent. 
Hal Elsberry is here to give you a very big chuckle with his X-15 Cruise Basselope.  I'm very impressed to say that Hal sculpted this very comical model himself. 
Vasilij "Tarner" Ratej joins us from the Land in the Alps with his 1/35 Tamiya M2 Bradley.  This Bradley has a detailed interior weathered exterior and some battle damage that must have really rattled the crew of this Bradley.  Beautiful.
Paul "peebeep" Brown joins us with something all Sci-fi fans with recognize.  This is his Dr Who 'Welcome Aboard' time machine.........I am quite the fan of Dr Who.......I guess I'm aging myself.

I waited all day yesterday for Bamford to do an update......finally I blasted him in an e-mail for not doing an update.  Then he had the nerve to tell me since he's locked out of the ARC offices that the updates are my daily responsibility. Between the banana brew parties with the Mon-key babes it's hard to remember to do daily updates every day.  Dan's Mon-key
Max Tollens Jr. with an assist from Joe and his Mom is here with an amusing Wintertime Offensive in Candyland diorama.  If you look closely you'll notice a Tiger Tank hiding in the Gingerbread house ruins.
David “drhornii” Horn is here to tell you the tale of the A-37 flown by the US Navy.  This is his 1/48 Monogram A-37N and his article tells the full story behind this sharp looking Naval A-37. 
Tory Mucaro is here to show you he's a talented modeler but definatly not a fan of MOPAR cars.  This is his 1/25 AMT 1971 Plymouth Duster after it's been crushed.....pretty funny stuff and very well done. 
Alvis 3.1 has been busy designing his 1/48 Twin Skymaster: Cessna 337 X 2.  This is what happens when you combine two Cessna 337.  The story sound very plausible.
Max Tollens Jr. is here with some armor today.  This is his 1/35 Trumpeter LAV-25 USMC that is enhanced with some photo etch.  Nicely done Max......the camo job looks great.
Jorgen "Troll" Toll has been busy doing some woodworking.  This is his Wooden Sopwith Triplane fully made from wood.  His fiancée gave it to him.  :-)
Grae "Eng" Sutherland is here with his 1/144 DACO Skyline 737-400 finished off in  RAF markings.  Grae includes the whole story behind his RAF airliner.  Pretty cool to see this one.

Carl Gootzen is back again for Silly Week with Several gnomes in ?/? scale.  There is nothing that brightens up a Garden more than Garden Gnomes......of course the fact they don't make Mon-key Garden Gnomes is probably a good thing.  
Dave "The Rat" Bailey is here to make you grin with his amusing story about The Spring Offensive of 1918.  And yes this story does involve Jasta 27 Commander Hermann Göring. 
Alvis 3.1 has been designing WW2 aircraft and rewriting history in the process.   His 1/48 Grumman P-65 Thundercat is a kitbash between a Hellcat and a P-47....it actually looks very convincing.. 
William G is here with the ultimate Monster Truck.  This is his The Sith Shall Rise Again! 4Tx4T.....which is a kitbash between a monster truck and the Star Wars AT-AT walker.  William has the full story to go with this amusing and creative build.  
Björn Bäcklund is here to reveal a Top scret story from the Cold War.  This is his 1/144 BAC Conqueror with the story of the Concorde bomber.  And you heard about it first on ARC.

I've raided the ARC vault and bought a small tropical island in the south pacific with a massive banana grove.  Construction will begin on a secret bunker on Mon-key island to hold the ARC servers....by the time Bamford returns......my stupid cousin Larry and I will be long gone.  I also used some of the loot to add some bling to my shopping cart.....it is now gold plated.  All jokes this week will be Mon-key jokes.  Dan's Mon-key
Alvis 3.1 is here to save Gotham City with his 1/48 BatPlane, 1942.  This P-40 captures the true look of what a batplane would look like in 1942.  The model also includes a batman with cap flying in the wind as he jumps into the cockpit BatPlane with his vintage 1940's Batcar to complete the scene.  Sadly Batmans pet Mon-key isn't included in the photos.   
Frank Dargies is here with the beginnings of what will prove to be a scratchbuilt and highly detailed cut away U-564 U-Boat Part 1.  Frank has gone to extreme effort to get everything looking very realistic and the finished model will be spectacular.    
Dave The Rat Bailey is here with his what-if 1/220 Lodela Transall AC-160.  Dave tells the story of the French winning their war against Viet Minh in the 1950 and this particular aircraft is in French markings.....read his article for the full story.  The turning point for the French was the Simian Resistance Front and their gorilla war tactics.
KH Lee is here with Malaysia’s attempt in breaking the world landspeed record in 2018 with his 1/72  Boleh SSV F18.  Look carefully and you'll see this car resembles an F-18.  The really exciting part is the 1/3 test cars were tested with highly trained Mon-key's before the final full sized car was built. 
Phillip Steele is here with his B-17 and Foo Fighters.  Oddly enough no model kit maker has ever released a kit for the Foo Fighters.

Ha ha ha....I'm baaaack!!!  The locks are changed........the ARC walk-in beer fridge is full of banana brew and I've got the keys to Bamford's pink Triumph!!!  But I won't be here just for Silly Week......I have a cunning plan to take over ARC.  Of course first I've got the sell that stupid pink Triumph.  Dan's Mon-key
Dean Large is the first modeller to finally figure out how to properly build models.  None of that stupid weathering stuff.....nope this 1/72 Airfix Exploded Diagram Lightning is built the way the instructions show.......in an exploded view.  Think of all the money saved on glue, filler and paint.....that can be used for beer and hot hairy Mon-key babes. 
Dave "The Rat" Bailey is here with a model kit that would make any human cry.....although us superior Mon-key modellers could build this one easily.  This is his 1/?? Flunker and even includes a top secret story......although the detail that the pilot of the U-2 in the story was Ed the retired NASA Test Mon-key borrowed from the NASA space program wasn't included in the story.  Remember Mon-keys were in space before humans. 
Lester Fink has taken a toy and converted it into a model of the Waterworld Trimaran.  This required resin casting and other tricks.  Of course the movie Waterworld was a huge flop......mainly because it didn't feature any cute Mon-key babes.  Stupid Hollywood anti-Mon-key discrimination.  
Shawn "Phantom" Weiler has been dipping into the banana brew at the ARC Corporate offices a bit too much when he was building his fantasy 1/48 Hasegawa CF-166E Super Falcon AKA F-2A.  It is complete with faded camo and Canuck markings.  Of course Canada never flew these.......they were too busy trying to buy Tweets for their airfarce to replace those creaky F-18's they bought.  
No reviews today......Bamford told me to run the reviews he did.......but I've got a 24 hour New Years Eve party going on and it's time to get back to the Mon-key babes.
