The Sunderland III
is one of the famed 'flying boat' sub hunter/rescue aircraft used by allied
forces during WW2 against U-boat menace in the Atlantic.
Operated by British Royal Air Force Coastal Command, its reliability, robust
construction & heavily armed with 7 mounted machine guns, bombs..soon earned
the famous name 'Flying Porcupine' from the Germans.

This is the reissued
old Airfix kit. The mold has some flashes and now cast in gray plastic.
Construction was fairly straightforward and the kit builds up well without much
difficulties.
Markings are simple as provided by the kit. overall the aircraft looks quite
large..at least for me when compared with others in 1/72 scale.
Enjoy the pics.......!
