This model represents a Lebanese Air Force Mirage IIIEL, used by the 4th Squadron at Kleyat Air Force Base. Lebanon was the first Arab country to operate this emblematic fighter from 1968 to 1979, when the fleet of 10 Mirage IIIEL and two Mirage IIIDL was put in storage and never flew again at Lebanese Air Force colors. During it's operational life two planes (one "EL" and one "DL") was lost in training accidents. Lebanon used to have the Matra R.530 air-to-air missiles, T200 400kg French made bombs and the JL-100 fuel/rocket thanks. This model is represented with this Air-to-ground capability.

One of the best things was to discover the Atar 9C engine in 1/48 resin from AML Accessories Model Kits. It's really impressive and highly recommended. You can see the engine in one of the photos at the bottom of this article. Decals simple don't exist in this scale. Even in 1/72, all that I meet today is completely wrong. So, the solution is to drawn the decal and produce by myself.

Also, there isn't any kits with the JL-100 fuel/rocket tank. I have to cut 1/3 of the frontal section of the underwing supersonic fuel tank and add the SNEB 68mm 12 rockets from Mirage IIIC 1/48 Eduard kit. From there I also takes the stairs.
