Republic of Singapore Air Force Rafale & Typhoon

The Eurofighter and the Rafale are two contenders in Singapore's choice for a next gen fighter, the rest are new mods of fighters already in service. Both kits are Italeri 1/72s, (except the Rafale C is the Tamiya reboxing- not a good idea since the  instructions are all in Japanese).

Painting was done with Tamiya spray cans and is completely fictitious, not really reflecting any known unit anywhere.  Insignia and unit markings were from a locally produced decal sheet and are for the following units:

Rafale:
"Formation en France" a group of Singapore pilots flying Skyhawks
based in France for training. The French 'Rescue' arrows were replaced with
arrows and stencils from an Italeri F-16.

Typhoon:
"No. 140 Sqn Fighting Ospreys" currently equipped with various mods of F-16s. 'Rescue' and warning stencils were from the British variant of the
Typhoon.

Both decals were chosen purely from aesthetics, not implying that either unit would be equipped with these aircraft.
